As a child growing up in Brampton, Ontario, my parents fueled my love for travel by taking our family on frequent vacations. I studied English Literature and Studio Art at the University of Guelph in Canada and spent a semester abroad in Krakow, Poland. After graduation, I volunteered at a primary school in Nairobi, Kenya for a few months and then set out on a backpacking adventure around Peru. In 2017, I moved to Lima, Peru where I now live and work. In my free time I enjoy cooking and eating vegan food, painting, reading, and writing.
To me, travel means an opportunity to put myself outside of my comfort zone, it is here that I am able to discover not just a new place but also a new part of who I am.
You will never regret packing baby wipes.
Remember that there are more friendly people in this world than unfriendly ones.
If you wear layers on the plane ride home there is more room in your suitcase for souvenirs.
A lot of people skip over Lima while visiting Peru. While it is a big city, don’t I think it should be overlooked. There is no such thing as a bad meal in Lima and there is nothing quite like watching a sunset along the Malecon.
